Astray

We hardly realise going off tracks; lost time flies past so fast!

We are slowly drifting away
Into the swifts of change
Along pleasures that prey
Seasons roll past a slim wage
Tides rising, falling; plying astray
A heart’s solemn pledge:
Steady in finding it’s way,
Whilst age stories fill a page;
Dragged and trailed asway.

      1. Oh of course! He’s sweet and friendly, and very smart–may have a poet’s heart πŸ™‚ ❀ I also have a very much older bear named "Manhattan"–I'll have to wake him up one day so I can take his photo!! πŸ™‚

      2. I’m glad you find me amusing–humor is vital, right? I called him Manhattan because I was born in New York, New York–though I only lived there 2 years before my parents moved south. πŸ™‚
